The BYC (Burnsville Youth Collaborative) Targeted Services After-School Program at the middle school level seeks licensed teachers with an innovative, creative approach to education to spark wonder and curiosity in learners. We value relationship-builders dedicated to making a difference for students and the community.
Responsibilities
- Teach students in grades 6–8 within the BYC after-school program
- Deliver instruction aligned with Project-Based Learning at the middle school level
- Utilize data to inform and adapt instruction
- Engage in team teaching and coordinate youth activities
- Supervise students during program hours
Schedule
- Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
- Times: 2:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
- Program Dates: October 20, 2026 – March 25, 2027
- Locations: Eagle Ridge and Nicollet Middle Schools, ISD 191
Requirements
- Current Minnesota Teaching License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Targeted Services programming
- Experience with Project-Based Learning at the elementary/middle level
- Experience utilizing data to inform instruction
- Experience with team teaching
- Experience in youth activity coordination
- Coaching experience
- Experience supervising students
Pay
$32.25 per instructional hour
