Buying & Supplier Manager II, Robotics Supply Chain - Procurement
About the role
The Robotics Supply Chain organization sources a portfolio of robotics technology and is responsible for getting the right materials to the right place at the right time to support our network of global fulfillment and transportation solutions. It’s an operation that works cross-functionally with teams across Amazon globally and is driven by data and metrics.
Responsibilities
- Own various aspects of supply chain management from ordering, assessing supplier capacities and delivery risks to resolving delivery challenges, and communicating risks to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance.
- Be a critical escalation point for materials and service delivery risks with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Proactively identify supply chain risks, implement robust mitigation strategies, and communicate potential disruptions and mitigative actions to stakeholders to maintain business continuity.
- Drive supply chain delivery performance by owning key metrics, addressing constraints, and influencing stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks effectively.
- Ensure that purchase orders are placed on-time and receive delivery commitments from the supply base.
- Identify and implement tools and systems to optimize the process.
- Drive operational excellence through robust vendor management and performance frameworks—ensuring suppliers meet delivery, quality, and cost targets while proactively addressing risks and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of working cross functionally across several teams experience
- 3+ years of procurement experience
