About the role

Arconic is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join the Kawneer Building and Construction Team in Cranberry Township, PA. Kawneer North America provides architectural aluminum building products and systems for the commercial construction industry, including entrances, framing systems, windows, and curtain wall systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute Procurement strategies as directed by the Procurement Manager.
• Obtain initial estimating quotes from vendors for windows and window components (e.g., insulated glass units, hardware, blinds, louvers, break metal, outsourced painting).
• Provide the Estimating and Order Entry teams with accurate and timely pricing for insulated glass units, panels, louvers, curving, and other specified buy-out actions.
• Maintain internal pricing sheets, quotes, communications, and other relevant information in the shared drive.
• Measure activities and coordinate information with relevant teams.
• Collaborate closely with the procurement team on designated tasks.
• Communicate supplier issues and participate in supplier meetings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required).
• One year of experience in customer service, purchasing, or other relevant work.
• Competency in Microsoft Suite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Economics, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• Knowledge of financial or procurement processes, especially purchase-to-pay (operational).
• Proficiency in data-mining and software applications.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.

Skills

• Organizational: Maintain RFQs in well-marked folders, ensuring multiple vendors and makeups are orderly and easily accessible.
• Customer Service: Act as a liaison between Order Entry/Estimating teams and vendors, demonstrating patience and responsiveness to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Identify and account for small differences in complex glass units that impact pricing.
• Business Acumen: Understand the role within the Kawneer team and its broader impact.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
