Buyer Planner - Production Planning, Materials Planning

Buyer-PlannerBased in Billerica, MA, we are an industry leader manufacturing highly engineered electro-mechanical products for customers operating in technology-driven and industrial markets.We're seeking a Buyer-Planner to support production operations through effective inventory management, material planning, purchasing, and supplier coordination. This role will work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Operations teams to ensure the timely availability of materials needed to meet customer demand and production schedules.Role and Responsibilities:Review MRP requirements and execute purchase orders, blanket order releases, and material replenishment activitiesAnalyze material demand and production requirements to support manufacturing schedules and work order releasesCoordinate with suppliers to manage purchase order status, lead times, delivery schedules, and material shortagesExpedite critical materials and maintain accurate supplier communication to support on-time productionRelease manufacturing work orders based on material availability and production requirementsParticipate in daily production meetings and cross-functional operations reviewsPartner with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Planning teams to improve material flow and operational efficiencySupport continuous improvement initiatives including Kanban, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), and lean manufacturing effortsParticipate in Kaizen events, value stream mapping activities, and root cause analysis projectsMonitor inventory levels and help maintain appropriate material availability while minimizing excess inventoryAssist with reporting, data analysis, and supply chain performance improvement initiativesQualifications:Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline3+ years of supply chain experience within a manufacturing environmentExperience performing both purchasing and planning functions using MRP systemsExperience with ERP systems and production planning processesExperience working directly with suppliers regarding purchase orders, deliveries, shortages, and material planningStrong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentExperience collaborating with Operations, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Purchasing teamsPreferred Qualifications:Oracle Fusion Cloud experienceExperience with Kanban, VMI, or lean manufacturing initiativesInventory management and warehouse operations experienceAPICS certifications such as CPIM or CSCPExperience participating in Kaizen events, value stream mapping, or continuous improvement initiativesBenefitsBase Salary Between $65-80k + Bonus PotentialStrong Benefits Package (Medical/Dental/Vision, Retirement Savings Options, etc.)Flexible PTO OfferingWork/Life Balance Email Your Resume In Word To Matt.Yassen@CyberCoders.com Looking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
