Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan manufacturing schedules to meet customer delivery demands and inventory targets.
- Release and manage Purchase Orders and Manufacturing Orders through MRP from creation to closure.
- Review and align work center capacity needs in conjunction with Operations.
- Adjust orders based on changing priorities, including expedites and cancellations.
- Ensure production is supported with timely availability of materials and components.
- Act as a point of contact for daily supplier performance issues related to open orders.
- Communicate changes to delivery dates and resolve tactical disruptions.
- Participate in supplier planning feedback and performance reviews as requested.
ERP & Inventory Accuracy
- Maintain accurate scheduling and order data in ERP (Infor XA).
- Ensure timely closure and updates to orders, shipping timelines, and part availability.
- Collaborate with warehouse and receiving to ensure alignment of material flow.
Supplier & Order Execution
- Interface with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Quality, and Planning teams to resolve order fulfillment gaps.
- Collaborate with Commodity Leaders to support the execution of long-term sourcing strategies.
Key Metrics for Success
- Making sure Manufacturing Orders and Purchase Orders are released on time according to the target goals.
- Making sure Manufacturing Orders are released without shortages according to the target goals.
- Making sure Ship date updates are provided prior to the requirement according to the target goals.
Qualifications
- CPM/CPIM/CPSCM and/or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in materials planning or buying in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with MRP systems within a manufacturing job shop environment; Infor XA experience preferred.

- Communication – Clear communicator with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- ERP/MRP Fluency – Able to manage scheduling, ordering, and transactional accuracy.
- Problem Solving – Able to resolve day-to-day supplier and planning conflicts effectively.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
