Buyer (LSNA-NC/PA)
About the role

As a Buyer for Life Sciences North America, you will be responsible for purchasing standard to complex equipment and materials. The Buyer may act as lead on small Projects (Projects with a Total Installed Cost of $50M, or less) while using best practices and knowledge of requirements to solve basic problems and handle day-to-day Purchasing tasks with minimal guidance and direction.
Responsibilities
- Purchase standard to complex equipment and materials
- Act as lead on small Projects (Projects with a Total Installed Cost of $50M, or less)
- Solve basic problems and handle day-to-day Purchasing tasks with minimal guidance and direction
- Leverage your passion and experience as you perform procurement transactions associated with purchasing materials/equipment as assigned
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles and practices
- Ensure task completion through the techniques of ensuring task completion
- Understand the role of procurement and its integration with other project functions
- Achieve value-added expectations
- Perform assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business, construction, supply chain, or operations management, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
- 4+ years of experience in capital equipment purchasing
- 2+ years of experience in Biopharmaceutical/Life Science Manufacturing Projects is preferred
- Travel - Anticipated travel 10-20% of the time
Qualifications
- Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work and thrive in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- A drive to solve complex and challenging problems
Skills
- Experience in capital equipment purchasing
- Experience in Biopharmaceutical/Life Science Manufacturing Projects
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $80,900.00 to $135,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
