About the role

The Buyer IV plays a critical role in sourcing and negotiating contracts for General Atomics and affiliated companies. They are responsible for identifying potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and negotiating favorable terms on behalf of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contract terms
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers
• Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
• Prepare and present contract negotiations to senior management
• Monitor contract performance and make adjustments as necessary
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Experience with contract management software
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
