About the Role
The Buyer III position supports the Buying Team in expanding product selection by setting up new vendors and items, managing pricing, and maintaining the product catalog. Responsibilities include coordinating new product launches, maintaining product costs and retail prices, managing content and images, building vendor relations, and assisting with special projects.
Responsibilities
- Set up new vendors and items to expand product selection.
- Maintain the product catalog, including managing pricing, content, and images.
- Coordinate new product launches and ensure all aspects are aligned.
- Maintain product costs and retail pricing strategies.
- Foster and maintain strong vendor relations.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Support and provide training as a backup to the Control Buyer.
- Daily collaboration for strategic guidance and decision-making.
- Regular interaction with peer Category Managers for knowledge sharing.
- Participation in weekly cross-functional meetings with stakeholders.
Skills
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of data management and databases.
- Expertise in procurement, category management, and strategic sourcing.
- Experience in strategic sourcing and executing country/global strategies.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in stakeholder and procurement management.
- Experience in developing sourcing strategies.
- Experience with end-to-end category strategy with significant annual spend.
- Experience in piloting new procurement technologies and driving digital transformation.
Work Environment
This role offers a hybrid work schedule with three days onsite at any hub location. The work environment is highly demanding but supportive, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $44.00 per hour.
