About the role

Our client, a well-known aviation defense manufacturer, is actively hiring a Buyer to join their team in Medley, FL! This role will be onsite and requires local candidates. This is a 9‑month contract position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders and supporting documentation in compliance with departmental policies
• Manage own commodity of products to purchase and track delivery
• Issue POs across multiple programs
• Manage all phases of procurement
• Ensure deliveries align with program schedules
• Monitor open orders, update status, and notify Operations and Program personnel of delivery changes
• Seek new sources of supply when necessary
• Manage long‑term supplier relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of experience as a buyer
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Word
