Uptown Cheapskate is a buy, sell, trade fashion store for young adults, offering thousands of mall and luxury brands at up to 80% off regular retail prices. We aim to make fashion more sustainable by giving life to gently used clothes. Our stores feel more like a boutique than a thrift shop, allowing more people to feel comfortable shopping second-hand.
At Uptown Cheapskate, we have a passion for sustainable fashion and are dedicated to reducing the impact of the fashion industry on the planet. Since 2015, we’ve partnered with Kid to Kid and buildOn to raise over $600,000 and fund 18 schools in developing countries, helping communities in Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Haiti, Nepal, Malawi, and Nicaragua.
Responsibilities
- Select and price gently-used styles for our customers
- Merchandise clothing
- Provide customer service
- Work with the store manager to keep the sales floor organized
- Operate registers and ring transactions
