About the role
Leverages overall purchasing excellence to manage vendor relationships and procure supplies and materials.
Responsibilities
- Using approved supplier base, processes purchase orders using the ERP system.
- Partners with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing issues.
- Responsible for negotiating best pricing including alternate sources and managing vendor relationships.
- Track cost savings related to negotiations, re-bids, alternate vendors, etc.
- Communicates with internal customers on purchasing activities.
- Builds and adapts processes and work instructions to enhance supplier relationships.
