About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Buyer for the Supplier Relations team. The Buyer plays a crucial role in ensuring our organization's smooth and efficient procurement of goods and services.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best value for the organization.
- Expedite purchase orders and monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
- Proactively communicate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to order fulfillment, including backorders, quality concerns, or delivery delays.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance metrics.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring their ability to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the inventory management team to identify any potential shortages or excesses.
- Analyze market trends, conduct research, and identify potential cost savings opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and efficient procurement processes.
- Solve problems with orders and resolve all receiving and invoicing discrepancies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a buyer, purchasing agent, or in a similar procurement role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Hightly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or Equivalent Experience.
- 3 – 5 years of procurement experience.
- Experience in ERP and CRM systems.
