About the role

SHELLBACK is seeking a full-time Buyer to source and purchase materials in support of our Coopersburg, PA manufacturing operations. This is an opportunity to join a growing department in the expanding semiconductor market, ideal for energetic candidates who take ownership and are driven to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Procure purchased materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and services for the manufacturing facility.
• Establish alternative sources for materials and services, negotiate supplier delivery improvements, and proactively communicate delivery status to stakeholders.
• Investigate material delays, initiate corrective actions, and coordinate resolutions with engineering, purchasing, inventory control, sales, and finance teams.
• Coordinate Engineering Change notifications with suppliers.
• Process rejected material and initiate corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
• Familiar with manufacturing, purchasing, and inventory control methods and processes.
• Ability to prioritize work and multi-task to meet project schedule demands.
• Strong communication skills with vendors, customers, sales & marketing, and technical personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: 2-3 years of work experience.
