About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Buyer to support purchasing operations for a Long-term Contract position in Manchester, New Hampshire. This role focuses on coordinating material orders, maintaining accurate supplier information, and helping ensure production needs are met without interruption. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, sound judgment in purchasing activities, and the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and track purchase orders to ensure materials are ordered accurately and delivered on time.
• Coordinate the procurement of raw materials and other purchased items needed to support daily plant operations.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor records, including pricing, contact details, and purchasing documentation.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm order status, resolve discrepancies, and support dependable vendor relationships.
• Monitor material availability and follow up on open orders to help prevent production delays or operational downtime.
• Provide administrative support to the purchasing function by preparing records, updating systems, and assisting with routine department activities.

Qualifications

• Experience handling purchase orders and supporting day-to-day purchasing activities in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Working knowledge of raw materials procurement and general purchasing department processes.
• Ability to build and manage effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and resolving order-related issues.
• Proficiency with standard business systems and tools used for purchasing and administrative tasks.
