About the Opportunity
The Buyer role supports procurement activities by managing supplier relationships, contract renewals, and vendor negotiations. This position contributes to the organization by ensuring effective procurement processes and compliance, thereby enabling cost-effective sourcing and contract management that align with operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain supplier relationships as a primary contact for inquiries and renewals.
- Collaborate with internal teams including IT, HR, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Legal to support procurement needs.
- Manage contract renewals and assist with supplier selection and sourcing.
- Negotiate vendor pricing, payment, and commercial terms.
- Review contracts for commercial terms and risks, assisting with contract redlining.
- Facilitate contract review, approval, and execution processes across functions.
- Maintain records within the contract lifecycle management system.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval processes.
- Support spend analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement in procurement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, vendor management, or contract administration.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Skills
- Preferred: Experience with supplier negotiations, contract administration, procurement systems, Gatekeeper or similar CLM platforms, and interest in AI tools for contract and procurement processes.
