Responsibilities
- Support daily production requirements across multiple manufacturing locations.
- Partner with Operation’s Planning community to execute the business plan for world-class customer service.
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities to ensure on-time deliveries, inventory levels, and supplier relationship management.
- Purchase a wide array of inventory items using ERP.
- Monitor supplier performance by evaluating quality, cost, delivery, and inventory metrics.
- Affirm replenishment parameters to support customers and inventory management and optimization.
- Work with suppliers to identify improvement opportunities in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and lead time.
- Resolve pricing and receiving discrepancies with vendors and coordinate with the accounts payable department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, quantitative fields or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
- Computer savvy: Knowledgeable with ERP, Excel, MS Office Suite, etc.
- Ability to read engineering blueprints and understand manufacturing processes.
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Professional phone etiquette is a must.
- Self-motivated and possesses the ability to complete tasks on-time and with little to no supervision.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of purchasing terminology and practices, analytical, mathematical skills, negotiation skills, and application of purchasing cost reduction methods.
- Material requirements planning (MRP) system proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS/CPM/CPIM/CSCP or equivalent certification desirable.

This is an onsite role at our Elon, North Carolina campus with a base schedule of Monday through Friday, first shift.
