About the role

The Opportunity Buyer collaborates with cross-functional partners and Procurement team members across Hawaii, Texas, Montana, Wyoming, and Washington. Reporting to the Procurement and Warehouse Manager, the role executes and manages the procurement of goods and services supporting Par Hawaii’s refining and logistics operations while advancing the company mission of “Humbly Serving Communities.” This is an in‑office position in Kapolei, with willingness to travel to operations teams in Houston, Montana, Washington, and Wyoming.

Responsibilities

• Manage the source‑to‑pay cycle in SAP (including purchase orders, supplier sourcing and negotiations, delivery expediting, and discrepancy resolution)
• Handle complex and time‑sensitive procurement needs while ensuring compliance with Company policies, delegated authority, Sarbanes‑Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) controls, and regulatory requirements
• Drive cost savings and supplier‑consolidation initiatives
• Expedite critical orders and coordinate inbound logistics to address delivery delays, shortages, and Hawaii shipping constraints
