About the role
Nissha Medical Technologies (NMT) is a global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) dedicated to advancing healthcare through innovative medical devices and solutions. Based in the United States, NMT is a subsidiary of Nissha Co., Ltd., a publicly traded Japanese company. The Buyer role is integral to NMT's strategic supply chain management, focusing on customer service, inventory management, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Earn/improve/exceed targeted customer service levels
- Balance inventory levels and targets
- Manage supply and demand within the supply chain
- Execute and support export/import and customs compliance control policies
- Analyze Bills of Material, routings, and demand
- Work within mainframe environment to enter purchase orders, make decisions regarding inventory, and maintain historical records
- Maintain a high level of service to internal and external customers
- React to variations from forecast and/or customer demand
- Ensure on-time delivery of purchases and resolve quality issues and supplier performance problems
- Maximize inventory turns and minimize carrying costs while meeting customer expectations
- Provide Customer Service with valid available-to-promise dates
- Support ERP projects for data clean-up, implementation, and sustainment
- Interact with the Production Team and Planners to ensure production schedules are met
- Plan requirements for assigned areas of responsibility
- Manage changes within time frames due to emergencies, expedites, equipment issues, etc.
- Contribute to special projects focused on data integrity and continuous improvements
Requirements
- Four-year college degree or minimum of 3 years of related business experience
- Intermediate to advanced PC skills (spreadsheets, word processing)
- Knowledge of current purchasing, inventory/production control, and manufacturing practices
- Understanding of supply chain concepts and applications
- Effective negotiation skills
- Analytical mindset with strong business acumen
- Problem-solving aptitude with attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
- Ability to work independently under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- C.P.M. or APICS certification
- Oracle experience
- Customer service interface experience

Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000/annually.
