Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and requisitions; secure price advantages of quantity buying; compose bid quotations; analyze quotes received; outline performance standards, tolerances, terms, and warranties. Execute contracts up to limits identified by Supply Chain management
- C Conduct price and vendor quote analysis to identify new opportunities and complete initial research of vendors
- Maintain current and accurate database information: lead times, open purchase orders, quality, and commitments
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers and organizations
- Interface with other divisions and departments to support order processing, shipping, delivery, and quality
- Create recommendations on the best vendor of materials and services
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer proficiency
- Proficiency with using eProcurement or eSourcing tools (desired)
- Relevant industry experience (desired)
- A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record (desired)
