Buyer

Responsibilities

• Enter new purchase orders for direct shipment (drop ships) to our customers.
• Enter purchase orders for the manufacturing/AWT locations.
• Respond to inquiries regarding the status of purchase orders and resolve discrepancies such as quantity, order multiples, pricing or PID issues.
• Maintain direct ship purchase orders in Navision, including canceling, adjusting, and resenting as necessary.
• Address CRM activities and create and assign activities when required.
• Utilize Microsoft Office, Access, Navision, CRM, and the SRRS Report Server.
• Perform other duties as requested by Procurement Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of four years’ work experience in Logistics, Marketing, or Sales.
• A strong sense of customer service & urgency, and ability to consistently meet deadlines.
• The ability to communicate & negotiate effectively with suppliers.
• Able to communicate & write simple correspondence.
• Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.
• Able to add and subtract 10-digit numbers, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, and perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
• Able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Regularly required to talk and hear, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus required.

Safety Duties & Responsibilities

• Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGP Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.
• Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis.
