About The Role
As a Buyer with Kelly, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient material procurement to support production needs. You'll manage the flow of materials, maintain optimal inventory, and collaborate with both internal and external partners to deliver the best value and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure and monitor the movement of materials to meet production needs using engineering and production schedules.
- Maintain planned inventory levels and resolve material non-conformances or variances.
- Monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts for high-quality and value.
- Assist in developing annual sourcing goals and drive achievement through initiatives such as new supplier qualification, RFQs, renegotiations, engineering redesigns, and cost/spending reviews.
- Set up and manage internal/external Kanban programs, educating new suppliers as needed.
- Oversee daily New Buy, Late, and Kanban reports; take timely actions to resolve issues.
- Create, manage, and update supplier VMI contracts and agreements.
- Facilitate meetings with suppliers, inspectors, and engineers to resolve quality issues.
- Collaborate with the Global Procurement Management Team on cost-saving and supplier projects.
- Conduct indirect/purchase requisition ordering and support with ECO cost impact communication.
- Perform Oracle New Part Set-up and Maintenance.
- Lead and participate in Kaizen/continuous improvement events to enhance procurement processes.
- Strive to achieve >98% incoming inspection quality rates and >95% on-time delivery (OTD) from suppliers.
- Participate in audits, supplier scorecards, corrective action plans, and monthly safety reporting.
- Reconcile p-cards with Concur and support month-end reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of procurement or supply chain experience.
- Experience with SAP and Oracle systems.
- Strong multitasking abilities and analytical skills, especially in bill of materials, cost, and lead time evaluation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Will require safety shoes (composite or steel-toed) for occasional production floor access.
- Any additional supply chain coursework or certifications preferred.

Pay & Schedule
Location: Onsite in Thomasville, GA. Pay Rate: $31.25. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM or 7:00AM–4:00PM.
