Core Responsibilities
- Manage the sourcing process, supplier commercial relationships, and overall supply base performance in the commercial, delivery, quality, and technical areas.
- Procure indirect services, particularly transportation and warehousing activities, but also facility services.
- Manage supplier commercial matters including piece price, supply agreements, payment terms, terms & conditions, and cost reductions.
- Conduct competitive bidding events with suppliers and recommend suppliers to internal stakeholders.
- Develop and execute commodity strategies that drive improved overall performance and competitiveness through the supply chain, focusing on EDM and sub-assemblies like the motor, PIM, and transmission.
- Manage sourcing activities by processing POs, supplier adds/changes, and other tactical activities.
- Develop and motivate the supply base by rewarding high performance with new business opportunities to foster healthy relationships and improve or eliminate underperforming suppliers.
- Support data management process improvement activities, including master supplier data, supplier scorecards, and spend analytics.
Requirements
- Familiar with purchasing processes in the auto industry.
- Extensive knowledge and skills in managing supplier commercial matters, negotiations, supplier quality, troubleshooting, standard legal terms, etc.
- Knowledge of eDrive materials and components is a plus.
- Proficient with PC and Office tools.
Education
- Bachelor's degree and above.
- Major in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
Experience
- 2+ years of purchasing experience in the auto industry.
Skills
- Familiar with purchasing processes in the auto industry.
- Extensive knowledge and skills in managing supplier commercial matters, negotiations, supplier quality, troubleshooting, standard legal terms, etc.
- Knowledge of eDrive materials and components is a plus.
- Proficient with PC and Office tools.
