Priorities

Bevco is seeking a strategic Buyer to elevate our procurement function beyond transactional purchasing. This role is designed for a proactive professional who thrives on data-driven decision-making, supplier relationship management, and value creation.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing: Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Source and procure materials, components, and services required for production. Maintain accurate records of purchases and monitor supplier performance.
• Material Planning Optimization: Utilize MRP systems to plan material needs, track inventory levels, and prevent shortages. Analyze demand patterns and adjust procurement plans accordingly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules with material availability.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and prevent stockouts. Implement inventory control strategies to optimize working capital.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliable and consistent deliveries. Evaluate supplier performance, address issues, and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with suppliers on cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of Supply Chain experience required.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management, APICS CPIM) preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of MRP principles, and ability to navigate ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Experience in an electrical products manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field.
