Buyer

Primary Functions

The Buyer will research and purchase products for the distribution center.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversees and maintains current inventory.
• Researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products, with attention to specified target market and demographics.
• Develops and maintains relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
• Negotiates contracts with wholesalers and suppliers.
• Affords assessments financial risks of purchases.
• Researchs, browses the new products and trends to identify the potential business opportunities.
• Acts as a quality assurance professional by inspecting the quality of products upon arrival as needed.
• Collaborates with the accounting department for the payment of invoices.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills And Qualifications

• Excellent MUST be bilingual in English and Chinese.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Efficient typing skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and legal aspects of purchasing.
• Ability to compile information and make decisions.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education And/Or Training

• At least one year of buyer experience preferred.
• Hight school diploma or above education is required.

Work Conditions

An office and warehouse environment, occasional periods of standing or sitting for extended periods of time, exposure to hot/cold weather and loud noises in a warehouse environment, frequent computer and telephone use, and frequent communication with people throughout the day.

Pay

Salary Range $17.79 - $40.00
