Responsibilities

• Plan and place purchase orders, with appropriate Lead Time for assigned commodities
• Expedite and resolve issues
• Identify, evaluate, and integrate new suppliers and technologies
• Improve operational efficiency in the supply chain
• Manage supplier relationships and be the point of contact for all supplier issues
• Investigate, determine root cause, and resolve for inventory and invoicing discrepancies
• Ensure the continuous improvement of quality, service and total cost in support of our business goals
• Through individual contributions, established procedures and cross functional influencing, GILLIG's Buyers ensure all materials, services, and supplies are available as required to support GILLIG Production

Requirements

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years previous experience in a purchasing or supply chain role
• Experience with Supplier Managed Inventory Contracts
• Strong problem-solving skills, organization skills, and attention to detail
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Able to create, analyze and make decisions based off large amounts of data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Knowledge of lean principles is preferred
• Proficient in use of Syteline MRP system a plus

Benefits

• $80,000 - $110,000/annual salary + bonus + premium benefits

Pay

• The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
