About the role
We’re looking for a Casino Buyer to source, negotiate, and procure goods and services across casino departments, ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance, and timely delivery. This role supports operational efficiency and vendor relationships while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Maximize participation of small, local, and minority business enterprises in contracts, professional services, and goods and services in accordance with company direction and strategy.
- Develop internal strategies and coordinate methods to achieve purchasing objectives and monitor compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Provide advice and guidance for the appropriate handling of bidder participation.
- Evaluate and meet with diverse suppliers to assess their capabilities and drive opportunities to increase participation of diverse suppliers in the procurement process.
- Identify, research, and evaluate suppliers that meet the standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of products and services. Ensure contracts are negotiated and executed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in managing high-complexity strategic sourcing transactions, negotiations, and supplier selection for products and services. Manage relationships for suppliers within the category.
- Perform supply market data analysis and recommend suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure all purchases adhere to internal policies, Title 31, and gaming commission regulations. Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.
- Recognize ineffective strategies or processes and recommend alternative approaches or solutions to capitalize on change.
- Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Update inventory and ensure stock levels are kept at appropriate levels. Process requisitions and update management on the status of orders.
- Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in a casino or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of integrated purchasing & financial systems (e.g., Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics – EZCM, Red Rock, Supplier Portals).
- Experience in the supervision of others and building effective relationships with people from diverse backgrounds at all levels of management.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or relevant certifications (e.g., A.P.P, CPP, or CPSM) preferred.
- Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Workspace.
- Ability to handle both internal and external customer service communications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
- Progressively responsible experience in Supplier Diversity purchasing activities to include partnerships with Supplier Diversity organizations and development of Corporate Supplier Diversity initiatives.
Physical Requirements
- Required to attend/host meetings and events (both in-person, offsite, and virtually).
- Sitting at a desk for periods of time up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Pay
Salary Range: $50,000–$82,500/Annually
