About the role
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Buyer who thrives on building strong vendor relationships and ensuring our teams have the materials they need to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Procurement & Cost Management
- Source and purchase supplies, tools, and materials at competitive prices while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Analyze pricing, negotiate terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Vendor & Contract Management
- Maintain accurate Vendor Master data and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Meet with supplier representatives to review products, contracts, and performance.
- Oversee supplier returns and resolve vendor-related issues.
- Order Management & Logistics
- Expedite overdue purchase orders and initiate order traces when needed.
- Maintain order status and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Cross-Department Support
- Respond promptly to internal department requests and provide purchasing guidance.
- Manage all purchasing forms, documentation, and workflow processes.
- Associate’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with M3 is a plus) and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills
