About the Role

COLSA Corporation is seeking a Buyer to perform a variety of routine and/or low dollar value buying/purchasing tasks.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and/or services for the company
• Reviews purchase requisitions
• Places orders for supplies, etc. with approved suppliers
• May assist with evaluation of bids and/or recommend suppliers
• May coordinate with accounting department as needed to resolve questions on supplier's invoices
• Provides routine administrative support
• May assist in research and negotiations with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications regarding minor purchases

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred
• 0 to 2 years of experience
• Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background investigation prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business related discipline
• Deltek Costpoint
• Previous buyer experience in DoD environment
