Buyer
Position Overview
The Buyer serves as a key liaison between manufacturing operations and supplier partners, ensuring material availability to support business needs. In this role, you will analyze ERP requirements, issue purchase orders, and monitor delivery performance. You will work closely with suppliers to resolve quality or delivery issues and support cost-savings initiatives through negotiation and contract implementation. This position plays a critical role in managing supplier relationships, tracking performance against key metrics, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Analyze supplier quotations, select vendors, enter purchase orders, and coordinate delivery schedules
- Maintain open purchase orders and proactively expedite deliveries as needed
- Resolve supplier quality, delivery, and performance issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal customers and supplier partners
- Analyze data and prepare reports; provide recommendations related to inventory levels, safety stock, and forecast consumption
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–4 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or a related field
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- ERP systems experience
- Purchase orders and inventory management experience
- Machines and parts used in metal fabrication experience
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred

- Work Environment: Office Position
- Minimal physical requirements, primarily computer use, and communication via virtual platforms, are necessary.
- Flexibility to adapt to occasional scheduled video meetings and collaborative tasks is essential.
