Responsibilities
- Proactively embraces and promotes the company's HSE requirement's and culture
- Prepares contract documents and bidders list, proactively seeks out and qualifies new potential bidders
- Assembles and distributes requests for quotation from vendors
- Responsible for purchase of material and services at or below estimate using procurement processes while maintaining consistency with schedule requirements
- Performs bid evaluations and issue purchase orders for commodity items and finished goods
- Negotiate small to medium value purchase orders for regional and/or international purchases
- Affords assistance with the evaluation, award and conforming process
- Able to resolve simple claim or dispute events with vendors
- Might be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor to support estimating/proposal efforts for a non-major project or projects
- Proactively recommends, supports and implements improvements to tools, systems and software to improve efficiency and maximize autonomy
- Effectively exemplify the company's Leadership Competencies
- Actively seeks and utilizes an effective mentoring relationship(s)

Qualifications
- 1-5 Years of relevant work experience
- EPC Industry experience is preferred
- Bachelor's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Technical / Engineering, Construction Management or related field (Preferred)
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
- Sources and procures steel plate from approved and new suppliers
- Analyzes demands and production schedules to determine steel plate requirements
- Solicits and evaluates supplier quotations, negotiates pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions
- Issue purchase orders (POs) and manages order confirmations and changes
- Ensures compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements
- Collaborates with engineering, project managers, and quality control
- Maintains accurate procurement records and data in ERP systems
- Evaluates supplier performance and contributes to supplier development and sourcing strategies
- Supports cost reduction initiatives and supply chain improvement projects
- Experience with steel or metal commodities, especially steel plate, is strongly preferred
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Understanding of material specifications, grades, and tolerances for steel plate
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
