We are looking for a Buyer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Sr. Manager, Material Planning & Purchasing and based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week. Role and Responsibilities: Manage daily purchasing activities for raw materials to support production schedulesReview and validate MRP requirements to ensure demand accuracy and appropriate purchase order placementAnalyze material demand, supply signals, and inventory levels to identify potential shortages and supply risksDevelop and execute mitigation plans for material shortages in collaboration with commodity managers and material planning teamsExpedite supplier deliveries and follow up on open orders to prevent production disruptionsWork closely with Material Planning, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure material availability and supply continuityMaintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventoryCommunicate with suppliers regarding lead times, delivery schedules, shortages, and recovery plansSupport supplier performance improvement and escalation management when supply issues ariseMaintain accurate purchasing data and updates within ERP/MRP systemsSupport product transitions, supplier changes, and phase-in/phase-out planning Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred2+ years of buyer or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferredStrong understanding of MRP systems, procurement processes, and supply planningAbility to analyze demand signals, identify supply gaps, and drive corrective actionsExperience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applicationsExperience reading and understanding manufacturing BOMs (Preferred)Knowledge of production planning and inventory control processes (Preferred)APICS/CPIM certification is a plus Bloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit. The total compensation for this position includes standard company benefits and is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience. #BEI2024 Salary Ranges: $74,600.00 - $107,400.00
