Core Responsibilities
- Work with multiple functions within Adient (Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance) and influence without direct authority
- Understand supplier terms and conditions
- Negotiate (tactics, techniques, and strategies)
- Evaluate cost breakdowns to identify opportunities to reduce overall cost
- Cooperate with people of different levels inside / outside the company and interact with the team to reach team goals and business objectives
- Recognize and respond to customer expectations with a sense of urgency
- Gather information, analyze data, prepare and lead negotiations as well as deliver a recommendation
- Summarize complex issues and communicate to all levels of management
- Be successful working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 1-3 years of Automotive Purchasing or Supply Chain experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
