About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Buyer Analyst to support procurement for production and after-market needs at our Rotary Drilling Division in Alachua, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Purchase components based on requirements within MRP.
- Expedite, de-expedite, and cancel parts based on production requirements.
- Purchase components for Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) via hand requisitions or through internet approval sites as needed.
- Resolve invoice disputes with suppliers.
- Resolve non-conforming parts by sending parts back to the supplier for evaluation, rework, or replacement.
- Gather information from suppliers to understand supply constraints.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or applicable studies with 1+ years of experience, or
- Associate's degree with 2+ years’ experience in purchasing manufacturing parts, or
- Equivalent educational background with 3+ years’ experience in purchasing manufacturing parts.
Skills
- Ability to follow instructions and processes to perform job functions.
- Ability to work independently and produce results that meet quality, timeliness, and acceptability standards with minimal supervision.
- Typing speed of 35 WPM and 10-key data entry proficiency.
- Creativity to continuously improve processes.
- Fluent in written and oral English; Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge of ERP or MRP and their applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
