About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Buyer Analyst to support procurement for production and after-market needs at our Rotary Drilling Division in Alachua, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase components based on requirements within MRP.
  • Expedite, de-expedite, and cancel parts based on production requirements.
  • Purchase components for Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) via hand requisitions or through internet approval sites as needed.
  • Resolve invoice disputes with suppliers.
  • Resolve non-conforming parts by sending parts back to the supplier for evaluation, rework, or replacement.
  • Gather information from suppliers to understand supply constraints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or applicable studies with 1+ years of experience, or
  • Associate's degree with 2+ years’ experience in purchasing manufacturing parts, or
  • Equivalent educational background with 3+ years’ experience in purchasing manufacturing parts.

Skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and processes to perform job functions.
  • Ability to work independently and produce results that meet quality, timeliness, and acceptability standards with minimal supervision.
  • Typing speed of 35 WPM and 10-key data entry proficiency.
  • Creativity to continuously improve processes.
  • Fluent in written and oral English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ERP or MRP and their applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
