Responsibilities
- Source and develop new suppliers.
- Maintain data integrity of lead time, delivery, and cost.
- Maintain inventory levels (value and turns), reviewing demand patterns and making appropriate adjustments and recommendations for stocking levels.
- Drive cost reduction projects, coordinating with all teams.
- Cooky contracts with suppliers, such as blanket orders or new supplier set up, following company guidelines.
- Identify problem areas that affect delivery or quality performance and initiate corrective action.
- Cooky and monitor incoming air shipment cost and timelines.
- Create purchase orders for foreign/inter-company purchasing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
- Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- 3+ years experience in purchasing, materials, production planning in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of MRP and related systems.
- Knowledge of international shipping practices.
- Proven computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook, JD Edwards and Business Intelligence Systems.
- Strong written, oral, and interactive communication to enable successful operation at all levels within the organization and with suppliers.
- Ability to multi-task, with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand purchase orders, contracts, prints and specifications, drawings, BOMs, and understand both English and Metric measurements and tolerances.
Qualifications
