Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Buyer 1, Shifters and Cables to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for shifters and cable commodities, supporting sourcing initiatives and cost reduction efforts by collaborating with internal teams.
- Analyze data to provide actionable recommendations, assist Purchasing Managers and Buyers with strategic planning, and track monthly progress on sourcing, cost savings, and process improvement projects.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure required documentation is in place, maintain accurate system data for reporting, and prepare timely, accurate presentations.
- Leads sourcing activities and negotiates commodity pricing to support cost reduction goals.
- Develops and executes strategic sourcing plans, including supplier analysis and selection.
- Partners with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and implements cost-saving initiatives, tracking and validating results.
- Manages contracts, purchase orders, and cost changes while ensuring compliance and resolving supplier issues related to quality, cost, and delivery.
- Maintains accurate purchasing data and reports on progress toward departmental goals, taking action as needed to meet targets.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree in Finance, SCM, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work on-site in Farmington Hills, MI.
