About the role

Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is seeking reliable, personable, communicative, and engaging coaches to support our mission of positively impacting children's lives and providing remarkable experiences for their families.

Responsibilities

• Lead and interact with groups of young children (ages 2-8)
• Work with detailed curricula and weekly lesson plans provided by Soccer Shots
• Be available and present for scheduled time slots throughout the season
• Drive to achieve the company’s vision, fulfill its mission, and adhere to core values
• Perform additional tasks as requested to support the team

Requirements

• No prior soccer experience required
• Comfortable working with groups of young children
• Reliable personal transportation
• Consistent availability throughout the season

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with children
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new teaching methods

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and engage a group of children
• Knowledge of basic soccer techniques (a plus but not required)

Pay

• Head Coaches: $18 per 30-45 minute session
• Alternate Coaches / Coaches-in-training: $10 per 30-45 minute session

Schedule

• Seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, Fall 2.0
• Duration: Typically 8 to 11 weeks per season
• Availability: Weeknight and weekend schedules available
• Hours: Range from 5 to 25 hours per week, dependent on availability, location, and performance
• Scheduling Blocks: Available during weekday mornings, after-school hours, weeknights, and weekend mornings
