Position Overview

Responsibilities

• Consistent maintenance and refinement of service standards.
• Ensures compliance with all hotel standards and local laws.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation awareness standards.
• Prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections.
• Avoid over/under preparing food and beverage quantities to enhance overall service.
• Perform proper steps of service for all tables.
• Ensure high-quality table sets, service, food quality and presentation.
• Respond positively to complaints, turning dissatisfied guests into return guests.
• Contribute to the restaurant sanitation operation and timing of service out of the kitchen and to the table.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel offerings and local surroundings, such as nearby entertainment, theaters, etc.
• Attend all required department trainings and meetings.
• Perform any other duties required by leadership.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have hands-on food and beverage knowledge and a comprehensive, working knowledge of the hospitality business.
• A minimum of relevant serving experience in a fine dining restaurant is strongly preferred.
• Ability to always maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure.
• Proven ability to engage guests at all levels.
• Candidate must be passionate about providing warm, engaging and personalized service.
• Candidate must be comfortable speaking to guests.
• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Candidate must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
• Computer literacy to include Payroll systems, Micros, POS systems.
• Serve Safe certified | Unexpired TIPs required.
