About the role

The Busser is responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the dining room and patio. The busser contributes to ensuring a pleasant dining experience by cleaning and setting tables, restocking plates, or (at times) serving food.

Responsibilities

• Proactively support the restaurant team by keeping the server stations and dining room area stocked and clean at all times.
• Ensure dining room and patio cleanliness by wiping down tables, chairs, and any other surface area; keep the area swept and mopped as needed.
• Pre-buss guest tables once guests are done with a plate.
• Deliver food orders to restaurant tables by table/seat number as well as guest rooms in a timely manner.
• Communicate with staff and management before leaving their job post.
• Ensure dining room and patio area is clear of trash and dirty dishes.
• Help servers polish and roll silverware.
• Assist servers in preparing tables for large parties.
• Proactively support the servers while monitoring cleanliness.
• Restock supplies before and after each shift.
• Collaborate with team members to communicate any special needs or guest requests.
• Utilize the freedom to go beyond and take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.
• Ensure that all food items are properly garnished and presented before delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work indoors or outside.
• Ability to be on his/her feet for the majority of the day.
• Ability to climb stairs and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 60 lbs. at shoulder height.
• Ability to bend, squat, push, pull frequently.
• Ability to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently; squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally.

Pay

$16.90/hr
