Job Summary
A restaurant Busser supports front of house staff by setting, clearing, and resetting dining areas, ensuring guest satisfaction, and assisting servers.
Responsibilities
- Fulfills all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Bus Person Training Manual.
- Maintains a positive attendance record by reporting to work 10 minutes early, switching and finding replacements for no more than 5% of shifts, following company time off and illness procedures, and having a 0% no call/no show record.
- Maintains sanitation and safety standards; scores 90% or better on audits.
- Maintains appearance and grooming standards as specified in the Employee Handbook and Bus Person Training Manual.
- Maintains guest service standards and keeps a customer complaint ratio below 1 per 100 customers served.
- Understands and uses the company's table numbering system accurately.
- Greet guests promptly upon seating and serve water and bread within 3 minutes.
- Perform side-work as specified in the Bus Person Training Manual.
- Complete end-of-shift checkout procedures with 100% accuracy.
- Buss, set, and reset tables within 3 minutes after guests leave.
- Assist other team members with station duties and side-work as needed.
Qualifications
- At least 16 years old.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Ability to stand and move quickly for up to four hours.
- Manual dexterity to handle and serve food.
- Valid health card or equivalent.
