The Bus Person plays a key role in maintaining the dining experience by clearing and setting up restaurant tables, assisting food servers with guest needs (e.g., refilling drinks), and ensuring the dining area remains guest-ready. This position requires a guest-oriented approach, the ability to lift and transport large amounts of dishes and silverware, and a commitment to professionalism, initiative, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Stock and maintain bus/dish cart station, ensuring necessary supplies, silverware, dishes, and paper products are available.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bus station area(s).
• Perform opening duties to ensure a clean, well-organized station with proper supply levels.
• Keep the dining room in guest-ready condition by removing unused settings, clearing dirty dishes, and providing water, coffee, ice tea, and soda refills as requested.
• Pre-bus tables by removing excess dishes throughout the shift.
• Approach tables promptly with a warm greeting and assist food servers with guest service.
• Greet and seat guests when a host/hostess is not present.
• Clear and reset tables quickly after guests depart, ensuring proper sanitation.
• Use a tray/bus tub to clear tables and deliver beverages.
• Transport dishes from the restaurant bus station to the dishwashing area, sorting and separating silverware, dishes, and glassware according to guidelines.
• Maintain thorough housekeeping practices of the assigned station before, during, and after the shift, including floors, walls, chairs, and tables.
• Empty and clean restaurant trash cans as needed, checking for discarded tableware or kitchen utensils.
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience is helpful but not required.
• Alcohol Awareness certification (desired).

Work Environment

The role is on-site at the casino and involves regular interaction with external/internal customers, team members, and vendors. The work schedule varies and may include weekends, evenings, and holidays based on operational needs.
