What To Expect In This Role
As a member of the Business Unit Leadership Team, the Finance Manager will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, cost accounting management, and partnering with the leadership team to shape the profitable growth of the business.
Financial reporting responsibilities include the preparation and communication of long range financial projections, annual budgets, and monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis. The incumbent will also work closely with site management team to create, interpret and make decisions about the financial health of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with the leadership team and provide effective, value-added support that is focused on enabling business performance.
- Understand the strategic business objectives and contribute to the creation, execution, and ongoing development and financial support of that strategy.
- Prepare and maintain company budget and monthly/quarterly forecasts to include project costing and project profitability based on estimates at completion, productivity, G&A spend, and indirect cost budgeting.
- Present monthly financial results and analysis to site and group leadership and track financial metrics compared to established goals.
- Perform budget vs actuals variance analysis with monthly forecast updates, including Balance Sheet forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Ensure compliance with established company-wide finance and accounting policies and procedures, including the Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) compliance
- Other ad-hoc financial reporting requests, as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting and/or Finance
- 6-8 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance
- Strong track record of excellent analytical, critical thinking, and data driven, creative problem solving skills
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills
- Experience with Manufacturing Operations Cost Accounting
Preferred Requirements
- CPA and/or MBA
- Experience with US Government regulations, including FARs, DFARS, and CAS
