About the role

The Global Corporate Procurement team at Amazon is seeking a Business Transformation Manager to join their team in Arlington, VA. This role involves creating and communicating a bold direction that inspires results, thinking differently, and driving process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational excellence initiatives to define roadmap plans, develop and manage implementation activities.
  • Develop documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.
  • Establish channels for continuous feedback and improvement across the organization.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles by collaborating closely with business partners, key stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ensure Plan B’s are always in place.
  • Actively seek out opportunities to optimize processes, reduce inefficiencies, and improve overall performance across the organization.
  • Design processes and procedures that scale with the business' growth in volume, complexity, and global geographic dispersion.
  • Apply tools and techniques from Lean and Six Sigma to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and reduce variation.
  • Utilize data to identify trends, root causes of problems, and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and support change initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes and practices.
  • Work with teams across different departments to identify and implement improvements, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Qualifications

  • Lean-Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Demonstrated track record of Six Sigma problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with technology transformation initiatives
  • Experience in procurement, negotiation, sales, consulting, supply chain, product/project management, or marketing
  • 3+ years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, LEAN/Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives
  • Expertise in operational excellence methodologies
