Business Tax Manager/Sr. Manager

Mowery & Schoenfeld is seeking an ambitious and curious business tax manager or senior manager to mentor younger staff, seek ongoing learning, and provide exemplary client service. Tax Managers operate as leaders and mentors within our Firm by demonstrating the ability to:Lead engagements by meeting client needs with a sense of urgencyDevelop recommendations and maintaining client relationships by balancing the client needs along with other assignments and deadlinesProvide proactive advice based on their knowledge of tax law, particularly within business taxDemonstrate initiative to creatively solve issues in collaboration with the leadLeverage technology to automate both internal and client processes to improve efficiencyAct as a mentor to younger staff and work directly with Directors and Partners Job requirementsWe are seeking an individual who is curious, self-motivated, and a team player with the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other relevant discipline5+ years of tax experience in public accounting, with 2+ years in managerial role preferredCPA-certified and active licenseExpertise in management of business and entity tax compliance Background and experience managing and actively providing advisory and tax solutions to clientsFeels empowered to provide solutions and ideasValues professional developmentExhibits excellent project and team leadership, and communication skillsShares our focus on growth and problem-solving Join a Firm That Expects More — and Gives More We’re building a firm of people who take pride in doing things the right way.
