Business Tax Assessment Specialist

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with some college coursework in accounting or related field preferred; one to three years of experience in local governmental taxation; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; PC experience required. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.

Responsibilities

• Screening, auditing, and processing business license applications and business personal property filings
• Determining proper business license classifications
• Maintaining records for business license and business personal property accounts
• Maintaining correspondence and billing files, data entry of business license and business personal property accounts
• Perform other work as required
