Business Systems Analyst (SQL, Data Analysis & Testing)

The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Develop process flows, workflow diagrams, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and testers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Translate business requirements into clear acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test validation, defect triage, issue resolution, and test result reviews.
- Validate data, business processes, and application functionality to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Analyze, reconcile, and validate data across multiple source systems to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Create and maintain source-to-target data mapping documentation and support data integration initiatives.
- Utilize SQL to query, analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data issues during requirements, testing, and implementation phases.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify data gaps, data quality issues, and process improvement opportunities.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery activities.
- Maintain business and system documentation in alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Develop expertise in supported business processes, applications, and technology platforms.
- Incorporate risk and control considerations into day-to-day responsibilities and escalate issues appropriately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of Business Systems Analysis or related experience.
Skills
- Proven experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis, workflow design, and requirements traceability.
- Experience translating business needs into user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
- Hands-on experience supporting System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and issue resolution.
- Ability to validate requirements through testing and ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Strong ability to understand, analyze, reconcile, and validate data across multiple source systems.
- Experience creating and maintaining data mapping documentation, including source-to-target mappings, data lineage, and transformation rules.
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience querying, analyzing, validating, and troubleshooting data.
- Experience performing data validation, root cause analysis, and issue investigation using SQL and other analytical tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
Pay
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.

Schedule
DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
