Business Systems Analyst - Global Supply Chain Systems

About the role

As a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) within CooperVision Information Services, you will provide systems support for Supply Chain applications used for Packaging Artwork and inventory and replenishment planning. This role supports VisionPack (from ESKO) for packaging artwork change management and o9 Solutions for resupply ordering and inventory replenishment between CooperVision manufacturing, packaging, and distribution locations. You will act as a liaison between CVI’s Global Supply Chain team, CVI’s Information Services team, and software vendors to ensure IT systems and business processes meet the needs of the Global Supply Chain to move product and fulfill customer orders on-time.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and communicates process flow diagrams, documenting functional requirements, system compliance requirements, and interface specifications.
  • Performs audits of technical designs proposed by the IS application development teams.
  • Executes tests of newly-developed code to ensure alignment to operational requirements.
  • Supports code deployments and responds to application user incidents during code deployment hypercare.
  • Demonstrates data analysis skills (query formation and database analysis) to resolve issues and support CooperVision customer service.
  • Communicates fluently with users to find and resolve the root cause of problems; develops and implements mitigation actions to prevent future issues.
  • Considers implications of technology application to the business environment; defines functional and system requirements and creates proper documentation.
  • Leads requirements analysis/documentation, design documentation, business process analysis/documentation, configuration, testing strategy, systems administration, and maintenance.
  • Develops effective test scenarios, scripts, and use cases with consideration for cross-functional and process stream impact, supporting the IS Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Analyzes test results to identify and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration irregularities, and interoperability flaws.
  • Oversees individual projects and/or tasks and phases of larger projects; coordinates team activities, schedules, and resources.
  • Develops, publishes, and coordinates implementation activities for software releases.
  • Leads informational sessions and training to ensure end users understand application functions.

Travel: Less than 10% annually.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • APICS / ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) Certification preferred.
  • Experience with global supply chain planning applications such as Logility Voyager, o9 Solutions, or similar, as an application user or through systems support responsibility.
  • Experience in Package Design, Graphics, and Engineering field is desired.
  • Functional knowledge of Oracle EBS and Baan Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software applications a plus.
  • Understanding of core supply chain processes (Sales & Operations Planning, Distribution and Operations Planning, Long-Range Strategic Planning) and how data from IT systems supports those processes.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as JDA/Blue Yonder and data interface design/management between WMS and ERP systems considered a plus.
  • Functional knowledge of TIBCO middleware software a plus.

Skills

  • Basic SQL/query skills required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with ability to handle and analyze large datasets in Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively translate between functional (business) and technical (IT) teams.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.

Work Environment

  • Normal office environment.
  • Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job.
  • Extensive contact with employees and external business partners and vendors.

Pay

The starting base pay for this role is between $90,213 and $120,284 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.

Schedule

Full-time onsite work (5 days per week) in Victor, NY. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
