Business Systems Analyst

Location: South Central PA Engagement Type: Long-term contract Work Schedule: Hybrid - onsite Monday through Thursday, remote Friday OverviewWe are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support IT initiatives within a global manufacturing environment. This role works closely with business and technology teams to understand needs, improve processes, support enterprise applications, and help deliver effective technology solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys solving business problems and working across teams.DutiesCollaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify needs, document processes, and improve system workflows.Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and technical requirements.Support IT projects from planning through implementation, including documentation, training, and change management activities.Assist with QA testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and resolution of system issues.Provide day-to-day support for enterprise, custom, and third-party applications.Help monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and deliverables while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.Participate in process improvement initiatives and peer reviews.Support SOX controls, audit documentation, and IT compliance activities.Work with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve issues and deliver business solutions.Help ensure applications and services meet established IT service level expectations.Required SkillsBachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Business, or a related field, or equivalent IT experience.2+ years of experience in IT, business analysis, application support, or a related area.Experience working in a manufacturing environment, particularly within a global organization.Experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and working with technical teams.Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Infor, Baan, or e-Emphasys.Understanding of software testing, including QA and user acceptance testing.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.Preferred SkillsExperience with ERP integrations or third-party business applications.Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.Exposure to SOX compliance, IT controls, or audit documentation.Experience with workforce analytics, dashboards, or data reporting tools.Exposure to change management, vendor coordination, or project coordination.Ability and willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.Strong business acumen and a customer-focused approach to solving problems.
