Business Systems Analyst

About the Role
This job supports one or more analytical aspects of the application product life cycle, within a sub-product scope (one or more application components). The role involves collaborating with customers to understand capability needs, gather project specifications, create business cases, perform cost-sheet analysis, and translate high-level business needs into detailed requirements for new or enhanced capabilities. Responsibilities include analyzing data to identify business problems, trends, or opportunities for process improvements, creating and executing test cases, providing root cause analysis, and ensuring quality delivery. The incumbent identifies, documents, and resolves risks, defects, and issues, while analyzing market trends for competitive insight. This role also involves mentoring junior resources, troubleshooting production issues, and providing customer support with a focus on ownership and team collaboration. Flexibility and strict attention to detail are essential, including the ability to work nonstandard hours when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers, Software Engineers, Architects, Capability Managers, and other team members to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions.
- Create and maintain deliverables such as business vision, requirements, client personalization, and user interface design.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle by actively engaging in Agile scrum teams in roles such as Scrum Master, Business Technical Analyst, User Interface Designer, Capability Manager, or Tester.
- Support various aspects of requirements testing (e.g., testing plans, scenarios, documentation, defect management) to ensure minimal production defects and analyze results for customer impact.
- Ensure compliance with required standards and obtain necessary approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Effectively communicate with team members, customers, partners, and management, including conducting requirement walkthroughs, sprint reviews, reporting project status, and providing accurate documentation.
- Provide production support, including resolving user issues, communicating professionally and timely with customers, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IS/IT.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Experience with production support ticketing systems.
- Experience with Agile methodology and Agile project management.
- Thorough understanding of end systems impact of changes across multiple systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years of Lean/Six Sigma experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in the Health Insurance or Healthcare industry.
- Production support experience, including resolution of user issues, professional communication, and documentation.
- Certifications: ITIL, TOGAF, Six Sigma, or PMP.

Pay
Pay Range Minimum: $68,400.00
Pay Range Maximum: $105,900.00
Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. Geographic differentials may apply for certain locations.
