Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst serves as a trusted technology partner to operational and clinical teams by supporting, optimizing, and enhancing business applications across Community Health Network. This role bridges the gap between technology and business operations, helping caregivers leverage technology solutions that improve workflows, support strategic goals, and enhance the patient and caregiver experience.
The Business Systems Analyst serves as a knowledgeable authority for assigned applications and is responsible for business requirements analysis, application configuration, testing, support, workflow optimization, security administration, and ongoing system maintenance. This role partners closely with caregivers, operational leaders, subject matter experts, technical teams, and vendors to ensure supported solutions effectively meet organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the application subject matter expert for assigned pharmacy and healthcare technology solutions.
- Support and optimize applications such as DoseEdge, Epic Willow, Epic Willow Ambulatory, Omnicell, Sentry (340B), Verity, TempTrak, and other healthcare technology platforms; knowledge of these applications is preferred.
- Coordinate and oversee application and server upgrades, updates, and system maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain an understanding of server operating systems, database architecture, and system integrations to effectively support application functionality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with software vendors and external partners to ensure consistent platform support, issue resolution, and ongoing optimization.
- Evaluate system enhancement opportunities and present options, recommendations, and potential impacts to operational and IT leadership to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to support interface development.
- Provide after-hours support for critical application issues, system outages, upgrades, and other operational needs to ensure continuity of business and patient care services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Two (2) or more years of healthcare, information technology, or related experience required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate across teams.
- Experience configuring, supporting, testing, or maintaining enterprise applications preferred.
- Knowledge of system implementation, testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and change management practices preferred.
- Healthcare technology, clinical application, or healthcare operations experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while contributing to a high-performing team environment.
Schedule
This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with an expectation of working onsite five days a week, with some flexibility to work from home. Participation in an on-call support rotation is required.
