Business Risk Team Lead (Open to Locations within the M&T Footprint)

Primary Responsibilities

• Execute risk initiatives led or managed by this position.
• Document key business processes accurately.
• Identify and assess risks and internal controls associated with key processes.
• Participate in planning, execution, and reporting of the business unit's risk-based testing program.
• Perform control testing as an individual contributor and ensure compliance with M&T's First Line of Defense Guidance on Management of Risks & Internal Controls.
• Communicate findings to management.
• Monitor business unit performance with respect to established key risk indicators (KRIs).
• Recommend enhancements to strengthen risk control structure.
• Complete Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSAs) and other risk management reporting.
• Identify emerging risks and risks associated with new products/services/markets/channels or changes to existing products/services/markets/channels.
• Develop and implement remediation plans.
• Validate the quality of implemented remediation plans.
• Implement and oversee adherence to policies and procedures for the business unit.
• Provide informal coaching of staff.
• Provide input to manager regarding staff performance and growth/development.
• Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience.
• The pay range for this position is $98,500.00 - $164,100.00 Annual (USD).
